A 40th Anniversary Celebration with Three Generations at Hammock Park, Dunedin
A Milestone Worth Gathering For
Forty years of marriage is worth more than a card and a dinner reservation — it's worth pulling the whole family together, kids and grandkids included, to mark it properly. That's exactly what brought this family to Hammock Park in Dunedin, FL this past June: a three-generation celebration built around the couple who started it all.
The Setting
Hammock Park's natural, wooded backdrop gave the session a relaxed, unposed feel — sprawling oak branches, open grass, and dappled shade that let everyone move around comfortably instead of being locked into stiff formation shots.
Grandparents First, Then Everyone Else
The session started with the anniversary couple — walking hand in hand through the grass, sharing a quiet laugh face to face, the kind of unscripted moment that ends up meaning more than any posed shot. From there, the frame filled in one generation at a time: grandkids climbing into a low oak branch with grandma and grandpa, then the full extended family — three adult children, their spouses, and two grandchildren — gathered together under the trees.
Why Multi-Generational Sessions Matter
Sessions like this exist to answer one question years from now: who was here, and what did we look like together? A posed grandparent photo answers a smaller question. A three-generation session, done right, answers the bigger one.
