In the gentle morning light at Ballast Point Park, a family of three had their very first family photo session. Their 9-month-old son stole the show, and the love in the room — including from a devoted grandmother who joined in — was easy to feel and easier to photograph.
A Park with Range
Ballast Point gave us a lot to work with: tree-lined streets draped in Spanish moss, open clearings with the Tampa skyline in the background, and the park's iconic pier stretching out over the water. I moved between the full family together, quiet moments between mother and baby, and playful, candid shots with dad.
