Family Photos at the Mosaic in Lithia, FL

In early November, I teamed up with a friend and fellow photographer, Megan, for a shoot swap — she photographed my family when we first moved to Florida, and this time I got to return the favor with a session of my own.

Why This Lithia Location Works So Well

Megan suggested the spot: a paved walkway in front of the Mosaic building in Lithia, lined with blooming pink muhly grass. It's one of those locations that does most of the work for you — the grass alone gives a session a soft, dreamy backdrop without needing much else. Despite a windy afternoon, the light held up, and it turned into one of my favorite backdrops I've shot in the area.

A First: Photographing Pets

This session also marked my first time photographing dogs as part of a family shoot — Megan's two came along and turned out to be naturals in front of the camera, right alongside her daughters.

Looking for a Similar Session?

If a location like this — soft light, a striking natural backdrop, room for pets in the frame — sounds like what you want for your own family photos, check pricing and book a session. I shoot at spots like this one throughout Lithia, FishHawk, and the greater Tampa area.
