Some of my favorite sessions happen on a porch, not a beach or a field. This one — mom, dad, and three kids ranging from toddler to teenager — brought a lot of genuine, unposed laughter to a set of old wooden steps in FishHawk.

Candid Moments Win

The best frame from this session is also the loosest one: dad mid-laugh, the whole family leaning in around him. That kind of moment doesn't come from posing — it comes from giving a family room to just be together and catching it as it happens.

A Range of Personalities

Between a teenager finding her own look in a rust-colored dress, a middle son with his arms crossed and a grin he couldn't hold back, and a toddler stealing the spotlight in white, this session covered the full range of what a family actually looks like day to day.
