Family Photos at Gizella Kopsick Arboretum, St. Petersburg
Let me tell you about a recent family session at Gizella Kopsick Arboretum in St. Petersburg — a family of four with two young boys. What made this shoot special was having two completely different backdrops within walking distance of each other: the arboretum's tropical plants and winding paths, and Tampa Bay itself, just across the street.
Two Locations, One Session
At the arboretum, I photographed both boys among the greenery — and at one point the younger one grabbed a moment to "play photographer" and turn the camera on his own family. Unplanned, and one of my favorite shots from the day. We then walked over to the beach for a second set of candid portraits, catching the family playing together as the light shifted.
A Range of Moments, One Gallery
From the boys' energy to quieter moments between the parents, this session ended up covering more ground — literally and emotionally — than a single-location shoot usually does.

If a two-location session like this — gardens and beach in one shoot — sounds like what you want for your own family, check pricing and book a session. I shoot throughout St. Petersburg, Tampa, and the surrounding area.
